Getting started

What exactly does Stay Found Studio do?

We look after everything that helps local customers find you online and book with you. That means designing and building your website, setting up and managing your Google Business Profile, connecting online booking (with deposits and reminders where they help), and replying to your reviews. You pay one monthly fee and we keep it all working, so you don't need to learn any of the technology yourself.

How long does it take to get my website live?

Most websites are ready for you to review within about two weeks of us receiving your photos, prices and details. Simple one to three page sites are often quicker. Once you've approved everything we can usually go live within a day or two. If you need it sooner, for example before a busy season, tell us and we'll do our best to fit around it.

What do I need to give you?

Not much. A short chat about your business, your logo if you have one, your prices or menu, opening hours and any photos you like. If you don't have good photos, we can use carefully chosen images to start with and suggest simple ways to take better ones on your phone. We write the words for you, then you check them.

I already have a website. Can you still help?

Yes. We'll look at what you have and tell you honestly whether it's worth keeping. Sometimes we can simply add the missing pieces, like online booking or a properly set-up Google listing. Other times a fresh site is cheaper and faster than fixing an old one. Either way, we'll take care of moving your web address and making sure nothing breaks along the way.

Do I need to be good with technology?

No. That's the point of the service. We handle the setup, hosting, security and updates. Your involvement is usually a short call at the start, approving the design, and sending us a quick message when something changes, like new prices or holiday hours.

Which areas do you cover?

We're focused on Brisbane and South East Queensland, but because everything we do is online, we can work with businesses anywhere in Australia. Most of our work happens over the phone, video call and email, and we're happy to meet in person around Brisbane.

Websites and Google

Who owns my website, web address and content?

You do. Your web address (domain) is registered in your business's name, and your words, photos and logo always belong to you. If you ever decide to leave, we'll give you a copy of your content and help move your web address to wherever you choose.

Will my website appear on Google?

Yes, we build every site so Google can find and understand it, and we set up your Google Business Profile, which is what appears on Google Maps. Nobody can honestly guarantee a number one position, but for searches like 'hairdresser near me' a complete, active listing with good reviews and a fast website makes a real difference, and that's exactly what we focus on.

What does managing my Google Business Profile involve?

We claim or verify your listing, then fill in everything: categories, services, opening hours, photos, booking and website links, and a proper description. Each month we keep it current, update holiday hours, add fresh photos when you send them, and reply to reviews. An active, complete listing is one of the biggest factors in showing up on Maps.

How do I ask for changes, and how quickly are they made?

Just email or message us with what you'd like changed. Small updates like prices, opening hours, photos or a new menu are usually done within two working days and are included in your plan. Bigger changes, like a new page or section, we'll talk through first so you know what's involved.

Will my site work on phones?

Yes. Most of your customers will find you on their phone, so we design for phones first and then make sure it looks great on larger screens too. Buttons to call, book and get directions are always easy to reach.

Bookings and reviews

Which booking system do you use?

We pick a reputable booking tool that suits your type of business, for example one built for salons, one for trades, or one for tours. If you already use one you're happy with, we'll connect it to your website and Google listing rather than make you switch. Some booking tools have their own fees, and we'll always tell you about those up front.

How do deposits work?

When a customer books, they pay a small deposit by card, which comes off their final bill. If they don't turn up, you keep the deposit, so a no-show doesn't cost you the whole appointment. You decide which services need a deposit and how much. Card payment providers charge a small fee per transaction, which we'll explain before anything is switched on.

Do you write reviews for us?

Never. Fake reviews break Google's rules and can get your listing penalised, and they mislead your customers. What we do is make it easy for your real, happy customers to leave a review, and reply to every review you receive, positive or negative, in your voice. If a review needs a careful response, we'll check with you before posting.

What is missed-call text-back?

When you can't get to the phone, for example mid-haircut or up a ladder, the caller automatically gets a text from your business number with a link to book or a promise to call back. Lots of people who hang up don't try again, so this catches customers you'd otherwise never know you lost. Any replies come straight to you.

Plans and payment

Are there any extra costs?

Your monthly plan covers the website, hosting, your web address, security, updates and the services listed in your plan. The only extras are things paid to other companies, such as card payment fees, some booking tools, and advertising spend if you choose to run ads. We'll always tell you about these before they start.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. You can move up a plan at any time and we'll add the extra features straight away. If you'd like to move down, let us know and it will take effect from your next billing month.

Is there a contract?

Because there's no upfront build fee, our plans have a minimum term of 12 months, which is how we spread the cost of designing and building your site. After that, your plan continues month to month and you can cancel with 30 days' notice. We'll always explain this clearly before you sign up.

What happens if I cancel?

Give us 30 days' notice once your minimum term is up. We'll send you a copy of your website content and photos, help move your web address to wherever you choose, and make sure any booking or review accounts set up in your business's name stay with you.

Can you help with Google and Facebook ads?

Yes, on Growth and Premium plans. We'll set up simple, well-targeted ads aimed at local customers, keep an eye on what's working, and tell you in plain English whether they're worth the money. The ad spend itself is paid directly to Google or Meta, and you stay in control of how much.
